IDF forces attacked in the Rafah area the launcher from which the firing towards the Gaza envelope was carried out earlier today; terror organizations continue to fire into the Kerem Shalom area and interfere with the entry of humanitarian aid into the region.
Earlier today, about 12 launches were identified that were fired from the Rafah area in the south of the Strip towards the Re’im area. The air defense fighters successfully intercepted five launches, the rest of the launches fell in an open area, no injuries.
Less than an hour later, an aircraft of the Air Force attacked under the direction of the 215th Artillery Brigade and destroyed the launcher from which the launches to Israeli territory were carried out.
Also, earlier today, six launches were identified that crossed from the south of the Gaza Strip to the Kerem Shalom area. No injuries. The terror organizations’ firing into the crossing area prevents the entry of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Strip. The IDF will continue to act in order to enable the security conditions for the opening of the Kerem Shalom crossing.
