Combat aircraft attacked a launching position and a military structure of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in the vicinity of Itrun, alongside a military structure of the organization in the area of Ayta ash-Shab.
Following alerts that were activated in Kiryat Shmona at 17:45 and in the Upper Galilee at 17:20 regarding rocket and missile fire, and at 15:11 concerning the intrusion of hostile aircraft, in all cases it turned out to be false alarms.
Subsequent to alerts activated at 15:34 in northern Israel due to concerns about the intrusion of hostile aircraft, two unmanned aerial vehicles were identified crossing from Lebanon and fell in northern Golan Heights. As a result of the fall of one of the aircraft, a fire broke out in the area of Sha’al, which has been extinguished.
Several interceptors were launched towards the aircraft that crossed from Lebanon and fell in northern Golan Heights, but the interception attempts failed. As a result of the interception attempts, a fire broke out in the Tzfat area, and firefighting forces are currently working to extinguish the fire. The incident is under investigation.
Earlier today, two launches were identified crossing from Lebanon and falling in open territory in the Mount Hermon area, and IDF forces attacked the sources of fire.
