IDF Spokesperson:
Earlier today, a tank fired a shell towards a target in the Gaza Strip.
As a result of a malfunction under investigation, the shell deviated from its course and fell in Israeli territory near the border fence.
As part of the investigation into the incident, a report is being examined regarding damage to a vehicle in the area of the Ashkelon Beach Regional Council as a result of shell fragments.
There were no casualties; the incident is under investigation.
