Joint statement from the IDF Spokesperson and the Shin Bet spokesperson:

The IDF and Shin Bet have eliminated the sniper who killed Maglan Unit fighter, Sergeant Tal Lahav, of blessed memory.

In a joint operation by the IDF and Shin Bet, an airstrike targeted and eliminated approximately 20 Hamas operatives from the Shati Brigade, including operatives from the Nahba, observers, and snipers of the organization.

In the operation, Mohammed Abu Hatab, a platoon commander in the Shati Brigade who served as a sniper, was killed. During the war, he carried out several sniper attacks against IDF forces maneuvering in the Gaza Strip, including the sniper attack that resulted in the death of Sergeant Tal Lahav, of blessed memory, during the operations of the Maglan Unit to destroy terrorist infrastructure at the UNRWA headquarters in the Gaza City area on July 9, 2024.

Additionally, Nahba operative Ismail Shkheikah, who participated in the massacre carried out by the Hamas terrorist organization on October 7, was also eliminated.
