The IDF Chief of Staff on the Auxiliary Fund for Reserve Soldiers: “We are full of appreciation for the reserve soldiers and we work to promote additional solutions to assist them and their families.”
The IDF Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, visited today (Tuesday) the CHAMAL Foundation for Recognition, Assistance, and Appreciation of IDF Reserve Soldiers at the Personnel Directorate’s Base in Tel HaShomer, alongside the IDF’s Chief Adjutant, General Yaniv Asor.
The fund is operated by the Manpower Directorate in the IDF with the goal of assisting reserve soldiers who served during wartime, among other things due to economic damages caused to them and their family members as a result of their participation in combat or due to their call-up for reserve service at short notice. As of 19/12/2023, 17,198,180 ILS have been distributed to the reserve soldiers and their families.
The IDF, led by the Chief Adjutant, is currently working on creating long-term solutions, economic assistance, and comprehensive response for reserve soldiers. Their extensive recruitment and continuous service are essential components of the IDF’s combat power and deserve all recognition.
