In response to allegations regarding the rules of engagement on the Gaza border, the IDF clarifies that there has been no change in the rules of engagement. IDF forces act according to guidelines that prevent anyone from reaching the border fence.
The rules of engagement and our policy of force enable our forces to accomplish their mission while preventing incidents of our forces firing upon our forces, or harm to Israeli civilians, including abductions that might occur in the area.
