The Chief of Staff to the northern authorities: “Thanks to you, the IDF can act decisively to change the security situation in the north. We have made very high achievements in hitting Hezbollah in Lebanon, but we continue to act – this is not the point to stop. There is still a long way to go, and we will take it together.”
The Chief of Staff, Major General Hertzi Halevi, met today with the heads of the northern authorities.
From the words of the Chief of Staff: “I meet you after I toured the area and held a situation assessment with the commanders in which I approved targets for attack in response to this morning’s events in the north. We greatly appreciate the local leadership and see it as very important. Thanks to you, thanks to the resilience and strength of the residents who pay a complex personal price, the IDF can act decisively to change the security situation in the north. I know that the residents of the north will return to their homes and the northern authorities will prosper again. We have made very high achievements in hitting Hezbollah in Lebanon, but we continue to act – this is not the point to stop. We are increasing the damage all the time and they are paying a rising price.
The next campaign will be very offensive and we will use it with all the tools and all the capabilities. There is still a long way to go, and we will go it together.”
