At this moment, IDF forces are operating against the Hamas terror organization inside the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis.
The operation is based on intelligence indicating Hamas terror activity in the hospital, and its aimed at capturing terror operatives, including those suspected of involvement in the October 7 massacre. So far, a number of suspects have been detained in the hospital.
Prior to the operation, efforts were made to evacuate the protected persons from the hospital in order to minimize harm to those not involved.
To facilitate the evacuation of these individuals, a special passage was opened for the evacuation of the civilian population staying within the territory of Nasser Hospital, towards the humanitarian zone.
The forces operating in the area have been trained for the mission and have also been briefed in advance about the importance of preventing harm to citizens, patients, medical teams, and medical equipment.
The IDF will continue to operate in accordance with international law and against the Hamas terror organization, which operates from hospitals and civilian infrastructure in a systematic and cynical manner, without distinguishing between the civilian population and the organization’s terrorists.
