IDF forces and COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories) are operating in the Nezar Hospital area against the Hamas terrorist organization.
In the course of the activity at Nezar Hospital, medicines were found with the names of Israeli abductees on them. The source of the medicines and their use are under investigation. In addition, combat materials were found in the hospital area.
This morning, a complaint was received about the cessation of generator activity, leading to the collapse of the hospital’s electrical systems. Contrary to the allegation, IDF forces did not damage the generators and even made efforts to maintain the continuous functioning of the hospital, and are acting accordingly to enable its optimal operation.
However, it should be noted that despite the generator malfunction at the hospital, all the hospital’s vital systems continued to operate throughout the day based on the existing UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) system in the hospital.
During the day, and upon receiving the report of the generator malfunction at the hospital, IDF forces worked to repair the generator, and at the same time, the 13th Flotilla forces brought a replacement generator to the hospital.
These actions were carried out in close coordination between the IDF forces and the hospital administration through the officers of the Gaza Coordination and Liaison Administration.
In addition, the IDF brought food supplies, baby food, and water to the hospital, and the Coordination and Liaison Administration coordinated with international aid organizations to supply diesel for the continuity of the hospital’s activity.
The IDF will continue to operate according to international law against the Hamas terrorist organization, which systematically operates from hospitals and civilian infrastructure.
