Battalion 91 and Battalion 146 met with heads of authorities and councils in the north ahead of Passover: “Our commitment is to be here until the reality changes.”
Commander of Galilee Formation (91), Brig. Gen. Shai Kalfer, and Commander of The Scepter Formation (146), Brig. Gen. Israel Shomer, met yesterday (Wednesday) with the heads of the authorities, councils, and kibbutzim in the northern region. During the meeting, a discussion was held with the heads of the authorities: the situation was presented to them and preparedness processes for continued combat in the sector were discussed.
The brigade commanders expressed appreciation for the heads of the authorities, councils, and kibbutzim, who demonstrated genuine leadership and devotion in the past six months, and are an integral part of maintaining security in the region.
Words from the Commander of the Galilee Formation (91), Brig. Gen. Shai Kalfer: “We are all writing a chapter in the history of the Galilee. We are determined and ready to win, and in our generation, we have had the privilege to take part in this matter. The period we are in symbolizes the chain of our generations, from the Seder night when we delve into our nation’s history, through Holocaust Remembrance and Independence days that remind us why we are here and why we need to preserve and defend what exists.”
Words from the Commander of The Scepter Formation (146), Brig. Gen. Israel Shomer: “I want to say thank you and express great appreciation for the resilience and leadership. I learn from you every day anew about what leadership is, seeing your resilience and firm stance as you uphold your values and our common values, representing the residents. My personal commitment and that of my commands are to be here until the security reality changes.”
