Following the alerts at Kerem Shalom throughout the day, several launches were identified from the area of Rafah towards the Kerem Shalom crossing. The launches did not cross into Israeli territory and fell within the strip.
In addition, following earlier alerts today in the Shlomit area, eight launches were identified from Rafah towards Kerem Shalom. As a result of the launches, an IDF soldier was lightly wounded, the soldier received initial medical treatment on site and did not require evacuation.
Hamas continues to endanger strip citizens and to carry out terrorist acts from civilian areas, in an attempt to harm Israeli citizens and IDF forces. In addition, the organization continues to launch from populated areas in Rafah towards the Kerem Shalom crossing, aiming to harm IDF forces and the functioning of the crossing.
