A short while ago, an aircraft attacked a compound of the Hamas terror organization in Rafah where senior terrorists in the organization were located.
The attack was carried out against terrorists who are a legitimate target for attack under international law, using precise engagement, and based on prior intelligence indicating the use of the area by Hamas terrorists.
It is acknowledged that a number of uninvolved persons were injured as a result of the attack and a fire that broke out in the area. The incident is under investigation.
