In line with the agreement reached with the US, Egypt, and the UN, Kerem Shalom and Nitzana crossings were closed yesterday. This closure aims to facilitate the UN’s distribution of goods on the Gazan side of Kerem Shalom and the reception on the Egyptian side of Rafah.
On April 27, 273 trucks were distributed within Gaza, with 132 of those containing food.
Airdrops and Aid to Northern Gaza
Airdrops were conducted, with 94 pallets containing tens of thousands of packages of food aid airdropped over northern Gaza yesterday (April 27).
In addition, 64 aid trucks were coordinated to northern Gaza via the corridors designated for humanitarian purposes inside the region. Additionally, 4 tankers of cooking gas entered Gaza to support essential infrastructure operations.
Coordination and Approval Rates
On April 27, out of 26 general coordination requests, 25 (96%) were approved. All 7 UN requests for coordination were submitted and approved, while of the 11 request for coordinations to northern Gaza, 10 (91%) were approved. Since January 1, 2024, 87% of all coordination requests have received approval.
Bakeries and Evacuations in Gaza
Currently, 26 bakeries are operational in Gaza, supplying close to 5 million breads, rolls, and pita breads daily.
To date, 3,204 injured and sick individuals, along with 725 escorts, have been evacuated from the strip. On April 27, 6 foreign nationals were scheduled to leave Gaza.
Infrastructure Repair and Humanitarian Operations
The repair of vital infrastructure is currently underway. On April 28, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the western neighborhood of Rafah to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
Medical Efforts: Ambulance Contributions
127 ambulances have entered the Gaza Strip to enhance first responder capabilities. The contributions include:

- 2 ambulances donated by Libya
- 1 ambulance donated by Malaysia
