UN Aid Trucks Security Checks Begin
As of Dec. 17, UN aid trucks have begun to undergo security checks and be transferred directly to Gaza via Kerem Shalom, to abide by our agreement with the US. This will increase the daily volume of humanitarian aid entering Gaza and being delivered to the people of Gaza.
Humanitarian Aid Update – December 18
Yesterday (Dec. 18) 191 humanitarian aid trucks were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip. Specifically:
- 127 trucks were inspected at the Nitzana crossing and transferred to Gaza via the Rafah Crossing.
- 64 trucks were inspected and transferred to Gaza via Kerem Shalom.
In addition, additional equipment and personnel for the UAE and Jordanian field hospitals entered the Gaza Strip. Fuel and cooking gas were also delivered:
- Four tankers of fuel and two tankers of cooking gas designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza were brought in.
Field Hospital Operations
On Dec. 18, personnel for a field hospital operated by IMC entered the Gaza Strip. Additionally, the first phase of establishing a water line from mobile desalination facilities located on the Egyptian side to the Rafah area was completed. This project, conducted by the United Arab Emirates, is designed to supply water to approximately 150 thousand people.
Tactical Pause for Humanitarian Aid – December 19
Today, (Dec. 19) between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Al-Jeniena neighborhood in Rafah to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
Field Hospital Capacities
The Jordanian hospital, with a capacity of 41 beds and a personnel count of 154, has treated over 500 patients. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates field hospital, which has a capacity of 200 beds and is staffed with 100 personnel, has treated over 333 patients.
