The IDF’s activity in the Khan Yunis region continues; encircling armed groups and locating weaponry.
The forces continue to advance on terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip, coordinating with the air force troops and naval fighters attacking and destroying terror targets in the Strip.
Soldiers of the Paratroopers Brigade combat team operating in western Khan Yunis, eliminated dozens of terrorists in the last day. In one of the incidents, the soldiers encountered an armed terrorist cell and during the battle, eliminated it.
In addition, the soldiers located many weapons, including Kalashnikov rifles, hand grenades and explosives.
In the western Khan Yunis region, fighters of the Maglan unit eliminated several terrorists at close range, including three armed terrorists firing towards our forces. Fighters of the Egoz unit assaulted several combat zones, eliminated terrorists, and located weaponry and tunnels.
In another operation in Khan Yunis, the combat team soldiers of Brigade 646 identified a terrorist in the area and in cooperation with the air force troops, eliminated him using an aircraft. Afterwards, three more terrorists in the area were spotted and killed in another attack.
Furthermore, soldiers of the Givati Brigade combat team eliminated several more terrorists in the area and located warfare equipment alongside documents belonging to the Hamas terror organization.
