Reem joined the military boarding school in Haifa, where he was appointed to command the new students. He conveyed to them the importance of setting goals and achieving them, providing a personal example of determination and strength.
He began his military training as an air force pilot and later transferred to the Golani Brigade, eventually joining the 51st Battalion.
On October 7th, Reem was stationed at the Kisufim outpost with his team. Their unit was the first to encounter Hamas terrorist squads near the border fence, and they eliminated over 40 terrorists. After more than 10 hours of fighting, Reem and his team managed to return to the outpost to rearm and continue fighting. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he decided to call his mother for the last time. His final words were, “I love you, and I apologize if I ever hurt you.” He then went out to continue fighting and ultimately fell from a mortar shell hit.
