Humanitarian Aid Update for June 6-7, 2023
Humanitarian Aid Trucks Transfer
Yesterday (June 6), a total of 75 humanitarian aid trucks were transferred to Gaza. This included:
- 67 trucks via the Kerem Shalom crossing
- 8 trucks via the Erez crossing
The contents of 1,100 aid trucks are still pending collection by UN aid agencies (June 6).
Fuel Tankers Entering Gaza
Additionally, 12 tankers of fuel, designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza, successfully entered Gaza on June 6.
UNICEF and Northern Gaza Aid Coordination
On the same day, 8 UNICEF aid trucks were coordinated via the Jordanian route. Furthermore, 8 aid trucks were coordinated to assist northern Gaza (June 6).
Airdrops of Aid
Airdrops were also conducted, with 25 pallets containing tens of thousands of packages of aid being airdropped into northern Gaza yesterday (June 6).
Coordination Requests Status
Out of 55 overall coordination requests, 40 were approved (June 6). Breakdown of approvals includes:
- Out of 13 coordination requests to northern Gaza, 8 were approved
- Out of 16 UN coordination requests, 14 were approved
Since January 1, 2024, 88% of all coordination requests have been approved.
Foreign Nationals Exiting Gaza
Yesterday (June 6), 22 foreign nationals were scheduled to exit Gaza.
Upcoming Humanitarian Pause
Looking ahead to today (June 7), between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the al-Tahrir neighborhood in Khan Yunis to facilitate the movement of humanitarian aid.
