Update on Humanitarian Aid Efforts in Gaza
107 trucks carrying humanitarian aid were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip yesterday (Feb. 8) via the Rafah crossing. Among these, 46 trucks were dedicated to food supplies.
Entry of Cooking Gas and Foreign Nationals
On the same day, 4 tankers of cooking gas, essential for the operation of critical infrastructure in Gaza, successfully entered the area. Additionally, 7 foreign nationals were coordinated to exit the Gaza Strip yesterday (Feb. 8) and another 7 foreign nationals are scheduled for exit today (Feb. 9).
Water Supply Improvements
The second waterline from the Egyptian side of Rafah to the Gazan side has been successfully connected. This project, carried out by the United Arab Emirates, aims to supply water to residents in the southern part of Gaza.
Medical Support and Assistance
A delegation of 21 doctors has entered the Gaza Strip to enhance the medical response. Furthermore, 15 bakeries are currently operational, providing 2 million pita breads daily, with plans for additional bakeries underway.
Medical Supplies Aid
In recent days, 12 packages of medical supplies were airdropped by Jordan and the Netherlands, designated for medical facilities in Gaza. Coordination for repairing vital infrastructure has also been successfully completed.
Humanitarian Aid Movement Plan
Today, (Feb. 9), between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Rafah Camp, located in the southern Gaza Strip, to facilitate the movement of humanitarian aid.
