Update on Aid and Crossings

In line with the agreement reached with the US, Egypt, and the UN, Kerem Shalom and Nitzana crossings are closed for inspection of aid trucks on Saturdays. This closure is to facilitate the UN’s distribution of the goods on the Gazan side of Kerem Shalom and the reception on the Egyptian side of Rafah.

Recent Deliveries and Coordination

Yesterday, (Jan. 13) 4 tankers of cooking gas and 2 tankers of fuel designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza have entered the Gaza Strip. Additionally, 93 foreign nationals are coordinated for exit today.

Infrastructure and Medical Support

The coordination for the repair of vital infrastructure was successfully completed. More field hospitals are in the process and are expected to be operational in the coming days. Further, additional equipment and personnel for the field hospitals operating in the Gaza Strip have entered the region.

Bakeries and Food Production

Currently, 12 bakeries, producing over 2 million pita breads a day, are operational in central and southern Gaza.

Humanitarian Aid Movement

Today, (Jan. 14) between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Al-Idari neighborhood in Rafah, southern Gaza, to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
