Overview of Recent Developments in Gaza

A total of 248 trucks were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip on May 15.

Coordination Activities

On May 15, the following coordination requests were processed:

  • Out of 36 general coordination requests, 25 were approved.
  • Out of 7 coordination requests for northern Gaza, 2 were approved.
  • Out of 11 UN coordination requests, 6 were approved.

Since January 1, 2024, 87% of all coordination requests have been approved.

Field Hospitals

There are currently 8 operational field hospitals as of May 16.

Fuel and Essential Services

On May 15, 2 tankers of fuel designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza entered the territory. Additionally, 26 bakeries are now operational in Gaza, providing close to 5 million breads, rolls, and pita breads daily.

Evacuations and Water Supply

So far, 3,272 injured and sick individuals, along with 725 escorts, have been evacuated from the strip. The northern water pipeline from Israel and the Bani Suheila line are now fully operational.

Humanitarian Aid Operations

Today, May 16, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the El Bashiti neighborhood in Khan Yunis to facilitate the movement of humanitarian aid.
