Aid Efforts in Gaza: Latest Updates

Aid Trucks Entry

185 trucks carrying humanitarian goods were transferred to Gaza yesterday, with 145 passing through the Kerem Shalom Crossing and 40 via the Erez Crossing.

Current Aid Collection

About 550 trucks worth of humanitarian aid are currently waiting for collection as of August 18.

Fuel Supplies

6 fuel and 6 gas tankers designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza entered yesterday (August 18).

Assistance in Northern Gaza

40 aid trucks were coordinated to northern Gaza yesterday to support local humanitarian efforts.

Bakery Operations

13 bakeries are currently operational in Gaza, with 7 located in northern Gaza and 6 in central Gaza, producing close to 3 million pita loaves a day.

Coordinations Update

Out of 17 coordination requests to the north, 14 (82%) were approved as of August 18.

Medical Transfers

To date, 3,397 patients and 914 escorts have been transferred out of Gaza for medical treatment abroad (as of August 18).

Polio Immunization Efforts

In general, over 95% of Gazans are immunized against polio. Israel is collaborating with the WHO & UNICEF to bring in 1.3 million more vaccines into Gaza, as well as leading a campaign with UNICEF aimed at covering 600,000 children under 10 for the new mutation. Read more about our efforts here.

Local Tactical Pause

Today, August 19, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Al Attah North West Neighborhood in Beit Lahya to facilitate the movement of humanitarian aid.
