Humanitarian Aid Transfer to Gaza (December 25)
218 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip yesterday (Dec. 25). 142 trucks were inspected at the Nitzana crossing and transferred to Gaza via the Rafah Crossing, while 76 were inspected and transferred to Gaza via Kerem Shalom.
Kerem Shalom Closure for Inspection (December 26)
At the request of the UN, Kerem Shalom will be closed for the inspection of aid trucks today (Dec. 26). This closure is due to logistic constraints on the Gazan side of the crossing.
Gas Tankers Entering Gaza (December 25)
Yesterday (Dec. 25), 4 tankers of cooking gas designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza entered the Gaza Strip.
IDF Operations Paused for Humanitarian Aid (December 26)
Today (Dec. 26), between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in Al-Baruk and Yafa neighborhoods, in the town of Deir al-Balah in order to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
Field Hospital in Rafah
A field hospital in Rafah operated by the Red Crescent is expected to begin treating patients in the coming days. With a capacity of 50 beds and a personnel of 120, the hospital includes 6 intensive care units and 3 operating rooms. Four additional field hospitals are in the process of being established, expected to be operational in the coming days. Additional equipment and personnel for field hospitals have entered the Gaza Strip.
Treatment Abroad Coordination
In coordination with Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey, ill and wounded individuals are being transferred to these countries for treatment. So far, 1,603 ill and wounded, along with escorts, have exited the Gaza Strip for treatment in Egypt, the UAE, Turkey, and Qatar.
