Humanitarian Aid Updates for Gaza Strip

On December 29, numerous humanitarian aid trucks were inspected and subsequently transferred to the Gaza Strip. The details are as follows:

Inspection and Transfer Details

  • Trucks were inspected at the Nitzana crossing and transferred to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah Crossing.
  • Trucks were also inspected and transferred via Kerem Shalom.
  • Four tankers of cooking gas, designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza, entered the Strip.

Water and Shelter Initiatives

A second water pipeline from mobile desalination facilities situated on the Egyptian side of Rafah was successfully established. This initiative, led by the United Arab Emirates, aims to provide clean water access to approximately 150,000 people.

Additionally, trucks carrying shelter equipment donated by Rahma were also delivered to the Gaza Strip.

Medical Supplies and Equipment

A total of 24 solar panels designed for the operation of medical refrigerators, facilitated by the World Health Organization (WHO), entered the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, tens of thousands of vaccines were transported into the region.

Planned Humanitarian Operations

Today, December 30, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in Rafah Camp to allow for the movement of humanitarian aid.

Field Hospital Developments

A field hospital in Rafah, operated by the Red Crescent, is expected to begin treating patients in the coming days. Key features include:

  • Capacity of 50 beds
  • Personnel of 120
  • 6 intensive care units and 3 operating rooms

Additional field hospitals are in the process of being established and are expected to be operational soon. More equipment and personnel for field hospitals have also entered the Gaza Strip.
