Adam was a prolific entrepreneur who founded a startup that developed an AI-powered smart camera designed to prevent drownings at sea. The camera detects potential distress and sends alerts to lifeguards before a person is in immediate danger.
He also volunteered to support at-risk youth and was actively involved in numerous initiatives in the south, particularly in Be’er Sheva and its surrounding areas, including efforts to assist Bedouin youth in Rahat.
Adam was a faculty member and lecturer at the Faculty of Management at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where he held a master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in innovation and high-tech. He was also deeply involved in the university’s entrepreneurship center, “Entrepreneurship 360” and was a graduate of Tech7’s Magnet program, which operates under the InNegev incubator.
Adam was scheduled to participate in a panel on the impact of the war on high-tech in the Negev as part of the Top Summit 2024 events. A few days before the conference, he informed the organizers that he would be unable to attend because he had been called up for reserve duty in Gaza. On Monday evening, he and his unit members were tragically killed when Palestinians fired an RPG at the building they were stationed in, which had been rigged with explosives, causing it to collapse.
