Maru Alem, 20, died defending the Gaza Envelope communities against Hamas terrorists on October 7th. Born in Ethiopia, he moved to Israel in 2012 and grew up in the cities of Sderot and Ashkelon. He joined the Golani Brigade in 2021. During the Hamas attack on October 7th, he was sent to Kibbutz Nir Oz to combat the terrorists. His life was tragically ended by an anti-tank missile fired at his vehicle by Hamas.
