Omri Niv Firshtein, may his memory be a blessing, was a shining light extinguished too soon. Known for his humble and pure soul, Omri was cherished as the best friend anyone could have. His presence illuminated every room he entered, bringing joy and warmth to all those around him. His smile was unforgettable, a beacon of light that could brighten even the darkest of days.

Born and raised in Givatayim, Omri grew up surrounded by love and community. He was deeply involved in various activities, from basketball to martial arts, and was admired for his kindness, generosity, and humility. Omri’s enlistment in the IDF’s Home Front Command showcased his commitment to serving his country and protecting its citizens.

Tragically, Omri’s life was cut short in the line of duty, defending the Zikim base against terrorists. His loss was deeply felt by his family, friends, and community, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.

In his eulogy, Givatayim’s mayor, Ran Konik, spoke of Omri’s journey from a beloved son to a courageous soldier, highlighting his bravery and dedication to defending Israel.
