Or Avital

Or Avital was a bright and courageous young soldier whose life was tragically cut short during the October 7th terrorist attack on Israel. He was just 20 years old and hailed from Kibbutz Merom Golan in the northern Golan Heights. Or served as a soldier in the Armored Corps and was deeply committed to protecting his country and community.

Born on September 19, 2003, to Eti and Arik, Or grew up with two siblings, Almog and Ofek. He enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces on August 9, 2022, dedicating himself to the Armored Corps and quickly earning the rank of corporal. Or was known for his positive spirit, strength, and kindness. He was deeply loved by his family, friends, and fellow soldiers.

Or fell in the line of duty during the horrific attacks that took place in the south, heroically defending his homeland on October 7, 2023. His loss left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.

The entire nation mourns with Or’s family, cherishing his memory and honoring his legacy of bravery and love. May his memory be a blessing.
