Update on Aid Deliveries to Gaza (May 26-27, 2024)
Truck Deliveries to Gaza
360 trucks transferred into Gaza, including 124 aid trucks that arrived at Kerem Shalom from Egypt (May 26). In coordination with the United States and Egypt, Egyptian aid trucks from El Arish port began to arrive at the Kerem Shalom Crossing for inspection and transfer into the Gaza Strip. Hundreds of trucks carrying food, water, medical equipment, medicines, and shelters will now resume delivery to the Gaza Strip via Kerem Shalom.
Pending Aid Requests
There are over 300 aid trucks awaiting pick up by UN agencies (May 26). Out of 45 overall coordination requests, 31 were approved (May 26). Since January 1, 2024, 87% of all coordination requests have been approved.
Fuel and Medical Supplies
Six tankers of fuel designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza entered Gaza yesterday (May 26).
Airdrop Operations
Airdrops: 37 pallets containing tens of thousands of packages of aid were airdropped into Gaza yesterday (May 26).
Aid to Northern Gaza
A total of 56 trucks were coordinated and transferred to northern Gaza (May 26).
Field Hospitals and Medical Evacuations
There are 8 operational field hospitals (May 27), and additionally, 3 hospital initiatives are being reviewed. So far, 3,272 sick and injured individuals and 725 escorts have left Gaza for medical treatment abroad.
Humanitarian Pause for Aid Movement
Today, (May 27) between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Jūrat al Lūt neighborhood in Khan Yunis, to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
