Overview of Aid Operations in Gaza

On May 21, 463 aid trucks were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip. These trucks entered from the various aid routes we developed: Ashdod port, Erez crossing, Judea and Samaria, and JLOTS (maritime route). Additionally, 650 truckloads of aid are waiting for collection and distribution by international aid agencies on the Gazan side of the crossings.

Joint Logistics Over the Shore (JLOTS)

On May 21, 12 trucks of aid were transferred into Gaza through the temporary floating pier established as part of the JLOTS initiative.

Ashdod Port Operations

62 trucks of flour were coordinated via the Ashdod port program on May 21, contributing to the ongoing humanitarian efforts.

Jordanian Route Coordination

On the same day, 44 trucks were coordinated via the Jordanian Route, further supporting the delivery of essential aid to the region.

Aid to Northern Gaza

A total of 70 trucks were transferred to northern Gaza via Erez West Crossing, ensuring that the northern areas receive much-needed assistance on May 21.

Fuel Deliveries

Three tankers of fuel, designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza, entered the region yesterday (May 21).

Coordination Requests and Approvals

On May 21, out of 38 general coordination requests, 33 (87%) were approved. Furthermore, out of 14 coordination requests to northern Gaza, 11 were approved, and out of 11 UN coordination requests, 8 were approved. Since January 1, 2024, 87% of all coordination requests have been approved.

Field Hospitals and Evacuations

As of May 22, there are currently 8 operational field hospitals. So far, 3,272 injured and sick individuals, along with 725 escorts, have been evacuated from the strip. Additionally, 41 foreign nationals were scheduled to exit Gaza yesterday (May 21).

Water Pipeline Operational Status

The northern water pipeline from Israel and the Bani Suheila line are now fully operational, facilitating essential water supply in Gaza.

Humanitarian Pause by IDF

Today, May 22, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Alotzer neighborhood to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
