Ravit served in the ‘Rotem’ branch of the Homeland Security Division of the Border Police, fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a combat soldier and protecting her country.

On October 7th, Ravit was deployed with her unit to the town of Yakhini near Sderot, where they bravely fought against a Hamas terrorist cell that had begun a killing spree in the small town. During the fighting, Ravit demonstrated exceptional resourcefulness and courage. In the final searches for remaining Hamas terrorists, she insisted on being the first to enter a building where a terrorist was barricaded. “I’ll go in first, you cover me, and I’ll cover you,” she told her commander at the building’s entrance. She was killed in the ensuing gunfight.
