Humanitarian Aid Update – March 3 & 4, 2023

Record Number of Trucks Inspected

277 trucks carrying humanitarian aid were inspected and transferred to Gaza for the civilian population yesterday (Mar. 3). This is the highest number of trucks to be transferred in one day since the start of the war.

Incubators Delivered to Hospitals

50 incubators designated for hospitals in northern and southern Gaza Strip have entered Gaza this morning. The incubators, donated by UNICEF, will be delivered to the following hospitals: Shifa Hospital, Kamal Adwan Hospital, European Hospital, Nasser Hospital, and Aqsa Hospital.

UN Convoy Supplies Fuel and Food

A @UN convoy, in coordination, traveled to the northern Gaza Strip with a fuel tanker intended for refueling the Kamal Adwan Hospital. Additionally, a convoy of 15 trucks carrying food was coordinated to the northern Gaza Strip. Over the last few days, over 100 trucks were transferred to the northern Gaza Strip.

Airdropped Humanitarian Aid

Over the last week, 302 packages carrying humanitarian aid were airdropped over Gaza. Furthermore, 91 foreign nationals are expected to exit the Gaza Strip today.

New Supply of Cooking Gas

Yesterday (Mar. 3), 4 tankers of cooking gas designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza, have entered the Gaza Strip.

Floating Hospital Treatment

A United Arab Emirates floating hospital docked at the El-Arish port on Feb. 22 and began receiving Gazan patients for treatment.

Bakeries Support Local Population

20 bakeries are operational in Gaza, providing over 2.5 million breads, rolls, and pita breads a day for the local population. Over the last 2 weeks, the number of operational bakeries went up from 10, to 12, to 15 and now to 20, following COGAT’s facilitation.

Repair of Vital Infrastructure Coordinated

The coordination of the repair of vital infrastructure was successfully completed. Today (Mar. 4), between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Yafah-Al-Baruh neighborhood in Deir Al Balah, central Gaza Strip, in order to enable movement of humanitarian aid.
