Update on Humanitarian Aid in Gaza
Yesterday, 259 aid trucks were transferred to Gaza. Of these, 222 trucks passed through the Kerem Shalom crossing, while 37 trucks entered via the Erez crossing (June 3). Only 105 trucks of aid were picked up on the Gazan side of Kerem Shalom by UN bodies. Currently, nearly 800 aid trucks are waiting on the Gazan side of Kerem Shalom for pickup (June 3).
Record Aid in May
The month of May saw a record number of food aid trucks that went into the Gaza Strip, with a remarkable total of 5,258 trucks entering.
Fuel and Coordination Requests
Yesterday (June 3), 1 tanker of fuel, designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza, entered the territory. Out of 59 overall coordination requests, 46 were approved (June 2). Specifically, out of 16 coordination requests for northern Gaza, 11 were approved, and from 23 UN coordination requests, 16 were approved. Since January 1, 2024, an impressive 88% of all coordination requests have been approved.
Aid to Northern Gaza
A total of 37 trucks were coordinated for northern Gaza, along with 1 fuel truck (June 3).
Upcoming Humanitarian Aid Operations
Today (June 4), between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, the IDF will pause operations in the Al-Tahrir neighborhood in Khan Yunis to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
