Humanitarian Aid Efforts in Gaza: April 7 and 8
Aid Trucks and Airdrops
On April 7, a total of 322 trucks carrying humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip. Additionally, 219 aid packages containing hundreds of thousands of meals were airdropped over Gaza, in coordination with Egypt, the UAE, and Jordan.
Food Aid Coordination
Furthermore, 35 trucks carrying food aid from the private sector were coordinated to the northern Gaza Strip. Essential resources included 4 tankers of cooking gas and 3 tankers of fuel designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza, all of which entered the Gaza Strip on April 7.
Foreign Nationals Exiting Gaza
On the same day, 40 foreign nationals were scheduled to exit the Gaza Strip, with 117 more scheduled to exit today, April 8.
Jordanian Delivery Channel
The delivery efforts continued with the Jordanian delivery channel, where 24 WFP trucks carrying food were transferred to Gaza on April 7. An additional 33 trucks are scheduled to enter today.
Medical Aid and Local Support
Nine trucks delivering aid and medical supplies were sent to the Emirati field hospital. Additionally, 21 bakeries are currently operational in Gaza, collectively providing over 2 million breads, rolls, and pita breads each day for the local population.
IDF Operations Halt for Humanitarian Aid
Today, April 8, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Al-Shaboura neighborhood in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, to facilitate the movement of humanitarian aid.
