Security Concerns at Crossings
Yesterday (May 7), the Kerem Shalom and Nitzana crossings remained closed due to security concerns resulting from Hamas rocket fire.
Airdrops of Food Aid
Airdrops: On May 7, 185 pallets containing tens of thousands of packages of food aid were airdropped, in coordination with partner countries over northern Gaza.
Coordination of Aid to Northern Gaza
Aid to northern Gaza: 64 aid trucks were coordinated to northern Gaza on May 7.
Coordination Requests Overview
Coordinations (May 7): Out of 40 general coordination requests, 24 were approved. Out of 10 coordination requests to northern Gaza, 7 were approved, and out of 21 UN coordination requests, 10 were approved. Since January 1, 2024, 88% of all coordination requests have been approved.
Logistics and Transport Updates
Ashdod Port: 25 trucks were coordinated via the Ashdod port through the Erez Crossing on May 7.
Jordanian Route: 35 trucks were coordinated via the Jordanian Route on May 7.
Bakeries and Daily Bread Production
Currently, 26 bakeries are operational in Gaza, providing close to 5 million breads, rolls, and pita breads daily.
Casualties and Evacuations
So far, 3,204 injured and sick individuals and 725 escorts have been evacuated from the strip. Additionally, 55 foreign nationals were scheduled to exit Gaza on May 7.
Water Supply Update
The northern water pipeline from Israel is now fully operational, providing an average of 50 liters per person per day.
