Update on Humanitarian Aid in Gaza (May 10)
Yesterday (May 10), 76 aid trucks were inspected and transferred to Gaza. Below is a breakdown of recent coordination efforts and aid deliveries:
Coordination Efforts (May 9)
- Out of 44 general coordination requests, 21 were approved.
- Out of 13 coordination requests to northern Gaza, 6 were approved.
- Out of 8 UN coordination requests, 2 were approved.
Since January 1, 2024, 87% of all coordination requests have been approved.
Airdrop Activities
Airdrops on May 9 resulted in the distribution of:
- 117 pallets containing tens of thousands of packages of aid airdropped into northern Gaza.
Ashdod Port Coordination
On May 9:
- 36 trucks were coordinated through the Ashdod port via the Erez Crossing.
- One fuel truck entered through the northern crossing.
Jordanian Route Facilitation
Additionally, 40 aid trucks were facilitated through the Jordanian route.
Operational Bakeries in Gaza
Currently, 26 bakeries are operational in Gaza, providing nearly 5 million breads, rolls, and pita breads daily.
Evacuations and Water Supply
To date, 3,204 injured and sick individuals, along with 725 escorts, have been evacuated from the strip. The northern water pipeline from Israel and the Bani Suheila line are now fully operational.
Humanitarian Aid Movement (May 10)
Today, May 10, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the El Mehta neighborhood in Khan Yunis to facilitate the movement of humanitarian aid.
