Recent Developments in Humanitarian Aid for Gaza (May 12-13)

Truck Inspections and Transfers

A total of 64 trucks were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip yesterday, May 12.

Coordination Requests

Coordination Overview (May 12):

  • Out of 36 general coordination requests, 19 were approved.
  • Out of 12 coordination requests to northern Gaza, 6 were approved.
  • Out of 6 UN coordination requests, 4 were approved.

Since January 1, 2024, 87% of all coordination requests have been approved.

Field Hospitals

There are currently 8 operational field hospitals as of May 13.

Aid Truck Details

Ashdod Port Program (May 12):

Out of the 64 aid trucks, 53 trucks of flour were coordinated via the Ashdod port program.

Fuel Supply

Seven tankers of fuel designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza entered Gaza yesterday, May 12.

Bakeries and Food Supply

Currently, 26 bakeries are operational in Gaza, providing close to 5 million breads, rolls, and pita breads daily.

Patient Evacuations

So far, 3,268 injured and sick individuals and 725 escorts have been evacuated from the strip.

Water Infrastructure

The northern water pipeline from Israel and the Bani Suheila line are now fully operational.

Humanitarian Aid Operations

Today, May 13, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Al Majadia neighborhood in Khan Yunis to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
