Humanitarian Aid Update: April 18-19
Aid Trucks Inspected and Transferred
On April 18, 276 aid trucks were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip. Out of these, 101 trucks were distributed within Gaza, with 87 of them containing food supplies.
Airdrop Operations
Additionally, a total of 144 pallets, which included tens of thousands of packages of aid, were airdropped into northern Gaza on the same day.
Coordination of Aid to Northern Gaza
A comprehensive effort was made to coordinate a total of 110 trucks to northern Gaza. This included:
- 6 World Food Programme (WFP) trucks via the fence road
- 104 trucks from the private sector
Jordanian Route Assistance
Moreover, 20 trucks were coordinated via the Jordanian Route on April 18.
Cooking Gas and Flour Deliveries
In terms of essential infrastructure support, 4 tankers of cooking gas entered Gaza on April 18. Additionally, 8 trucks of flour were coordinated through the Ashdod port program.
Evacuation of Foreign Nationals
On the same day, 7 foreign nationals were scheduled to exit Gaza.
Bakeries and Daily Bread Production
Currently, more than 24 bakeries in Gaza are operational, providing more than 3 million breads, rolls, and pita breads daily.
Casualty and Medical Aid Updates
So far, 3,259 injured and sick individuals, along with 737 escorts, have been evacuated from the strip. Moreover, 9 trucks of medical aid were coordinated to the Emirati Hospital and another 9 trucks were directed to the ICRC Hospital.
Repair of Vital Infrastructure
The repair of crucial infrastructure is ongoing. It’s important to note that on April 19, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Tel Al-Saltan neighborhood of Rafah to facilitate the movement of humanitarian aid.
