Recent Aid Efforts in Gaza – April 21, 2023

Aid Truck Inspections and Transfers

Currently, 25 bakeries are operational in Gaza, providing over 3 million breads, rolls, and pita breads daily.
Evacuations of Injured and Sick Individuals
Thus far, 3,204 injured and sick individuals, along with 725 escorts, have been evacuated from the strip to ensure their safety and health.
Medical Aid Coordination
On April 21, 12 trucks of medical aid were coordinated to be sent to the Emirati Hospital.
Infrastructure Repair Progress
The repair of vital infrastructure in Gaza is currently underway, reflecting ongoing efforts to restore basic services.
Coordination Requests and Approvals
On April 21, out of 35 general coordination requests, 31 (89%) were approved. Additionally, 9 UN requests for coordination were submitted, with 6 being approved. Of the 11 coordinations requested for northern Gaza, 10 (90.91%) were approved. Since January 1, 2024, 86% of all coordination requests have been approved.
Pause in IDF Operations
Today, April 21, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Tel Al-Shaboura neighborhood in Rafah, allowing for the movement of humanitarian aid to address urgent needs.
