Humanitarian Aid Update: Gaza Strip January 22-23

On January 22, 213 trucks carrying humanitarian aid were transferred to the Gaza Strip. Here’s a breakdown of the assistance provided:

Truck Transfers

  • 92 trucks were inspected at Nitzana and transferred to Gaza via the Rafah Crossing.
  • 121 trucks were inspected and transferred via Kerem Shalom.
  • Out of these, 133 trucks were dedicated to carrying food.

Fuel and Gas Delivery

In addition to the trucks, four tankers of cooking gas and two tankers of fuel designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza were also delivered.

Medical Support

A delegation of over 20 doctors and medical personnel entered the Gaza Strip to bolster the medical response in hospitals, particularly in central Gaza.

Logistical Enhancements

Four warehouses were established to enhance the logistic capacity of international organizations receiving humanitarian aid within the Gaza Strip.

Foreign Nationals Exit Coordination

On January 22, a total of 31 foreign nationals were coordinated for exit, with 71 more coordinated for exit today (January 23).

Infrastructure Repair Coordination

The coordination for the repair of vital infrastructure in the region has been successfully completed.

Humanitarian Aid Movement Pause

Today, January 23, between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Al-Salam neighborhood in Rafah, southern Gaza, to allow for the movement of humanitarian aid.
