Latest Update on Humanitarian Aid to Gaza – May 22, 2023

298 aid trucks were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip, yesterday, (May 22). These trucks entered from the various aid routes we developed: Ashdod port, Erez crossing, and JLOTS (maritime route).

Joint Logistics Over the Shore (JLOTS)

Yesterday (May 22), 17 trucks of aid were transferred into Gaza, through the temporary floating pier.

Jordanian Route

45 trucks were coordinated via the Jordanian Route (May 22).

Aid to Northern Gaza

A total of 66 trucks were transferred to northern Gaza via Erez West Crossing (May 22).

Fuel Supply

2 tankers of fuel designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza entered Gaza yesterday (May 22).

Coordination Efforts

Out of 58 general coordination requests, 40 were approved. Out of 16 coordination requests to northern Gaza, 12 were approved, and out of 17 UN coordination requests, 10 were approved. Since January 1, 2024, 87% of all coordination requests have been approved.

Field Hospitals

There are currently 8 operational field hospitals (May 22). So far, 3,272 injured and sick individuals and 725 escorts have been evacuated from the strip. The northern water pipeline from Israel and the Bani Suheila line are now fully operational.

Upcoming Humanitarian Aid Movement

Today, (May 23) between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Al Khativa neighborhood in Khan Yunis, to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
