Humanitarian Aid Update – March 28-29, 2023
Inspection and Transfer of Aid Trucks
205 humanitarian aid trucks were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip yesterday (Mar. 28) via Kerem Shalom and Nitzana. Of these, 195 trucks were distributed within Gaza by UN aid agencies. Additionally, 9 WFP food aid trucks were coordinated directly to northern Gaza. So far, 47 trucks have been coordinated through a new delivery route. Furthermore, 7 aid trucks were transferred to Gaza via the Jordanian route.
Airdrops and Fuel Supplies
131 packages (1 ton each) of humanitarian aid were airdropped over northern Gaza yesterday (Mar. 28). On the same day, 4 tankers of cooking gas and 3 tankers of fuel designated for the operation of essential infrastructure in Gaza entered the Gaza Strip.
Movement of Foreign Nationals
7 foreign nationals are expected to exit Gaza today (Mar. 29).
Local Food Production
Currently, 21 bakeries are operational in Gaza, providing over 2 million breads, rolls, and pita breads a day for the local population.
Humanitarian Aid Movement Pause
Today, (Mar. 29) between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in Tel Al-Sultan in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.
