Owen Jones, a British journalist and activist, has become one of the most vocal and disgraceful apologists for Hamas—a terrorist organization responsible for the barbaric massacre of 1,163 people on October 7, 2023. This number includes Israeli and foreign citizens, as well as babies, children, women, and the elderly, alongside 301 IDF heroes, 55 police officers, and 10 Shin Bet personnel. Rather than condemning these bloodthirsty attacks, which also involved the mass infiltration of approximately 6,000 individuals—3,800 of whom were part of Hamas and other Gaza-based terrorist organizations, and 2,200 being Gazan civilians participating in the massacre—Jones has chosen to vilify Israel and parrot Hamas propaganda.
His statements are not only shameful but dangerous, as they amplify the rhetoric of a group that thrives on terror, violence, and the systematic slaughter of civilians. Instead of mourning the victims of Hamas’s brutal assault, Jones blames Israel, accusing the country of “genocide” and promoting the false narrative that the Western media is complicit in covering up atrocities in Gaza. His inflammatory remarks are designed to demonize Israel’s right to defend itself while whitewashing the horrific crimes of Hamas. Jones’s despicable framing of October 7 as merely “the day that Hamas broke the security fence” reveals his utter disregard for the lives of the innocent men, women, and children who were slaughtered in their homes, at bus stops, and at a music festival. Moreover, Jones relies on biased sources such as Al Jazeera—well known for its pro-Hamas stance—to bolster his baseless claims, ignoring the well-documented evidence of Hamas’s use of human shields, exploitation of civilians, and violations of international law.
Through his rhetoric, Owen Jones has proven himself to be not just a critic of Israel but an enabler of terrorism.
