Liran, who lived in Kibbutz Kmehin with his wife and five children, was a desert man and a farmer. He operated a sheep pen and ran a desert tourism business.
He volunteered for security detail to protect the Nitzana region against sabotage and theft. Three years ago, he initiated the establishment of an observation post for the ‘Hashomer Hachadash’ defense force in the area and hosted volunteers on his farm. He was always the first to volunteer and help others.
A member of the Peled Team, a Counter-Terrorism Unit, he fell in battle on October 7, bravely fighting Hamas terrorists near Kibbutz Holit.
