He was a senior commander of the Quds Force, the elite foreign intelligence and paramilitary arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Zahedi was a high-ranking figure in the Quds Force and had served as commander in Lebanon and Syria between 2008 and 2016. - Brigadier-General Mohammad Hadi Haji-Rahimi
He was the deputy commander to Zahedi and also killed in the airstrike
