Overview of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza (May 2)
On May 2, a significant number of aid efforts were made to support the people of Gaza:
- 400 aid trucks were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip.

Regarding coordination efforts:
- Out of 37 general coordination requests, 33 (89%) were approved.
- 6 UN requests were made, with 5 (83%) being approved.
- 12 requests for northern Gaza coordination were submitted, with 9 approved.
Since January 1, 2024, 88% of all coordination requests have been approved.
Baking Operations in Gaza
As part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts:
- 26 bakeries are currently operational in Gaza, providing nearly 5 million breads, rolls, and pita breads daily.
Evacuations and Water Supply
As for evacuations:
- A total of 3,204 injured and sick individuals and 725 escorts have been evacuated from the strip.
- 33 foreign nationals were scheduled to exit Gaza on May 2.
Furthermore, the northern water pipeline from Israel is now fully operational, supplying an average of 50 liters per person per day.
Humanitarian Assistance Pause
Looking ahead, on May 3 from 10:00 to 14:00, the IDF will pause operations in the Khan Yunis Al Mahta neighborhood to facilitate the movement of humanitarian aid.
